Here is a really well done flash version of google maps and ms virtual earth. Not only can you easily switch between them, but there's an additional control of being able to spin around.

What city does it start in for you? It's odd, although the link is to the main page of the site, for me it started in Philly. Lat, Long is around 39, 75. I'm wondering if it read something off my computer.
