Becoming Religious

Within the total obscurity of it all,
I found a friend in Jesus.
Whom I had met before,
But never taken seriously,
Until he impressed me…
Walking across my pool to retrieve
A football I had tossed.

I realized he was my savior,
And smiled in my soul.
