What if Mr. Whittington dies?

I know they say he's in stable condition after being shot by the cuddly Dick Cheney. But, what if? It could happen. They are still monitoring him to make sure that no more of the "bird shot" is migrating to other critical internal organs. So, who wants to bet on the outcome?
