A suspect in the shooting deaths of Polk deputy Matt Williams and his K-9 Diogi was found hiding uder this fallen tree in the woods Friday morning. Police shot and killed the suspect, whom they believe is Angilo (cq) Freeland 27, when he refused to surrender.

Documents in a Sarasota court file show that a man named Eswardo Ramclaim was stopped by sheriff's deputies in a car loaded iwth $23,000 in possible drug money. Ramclaim is one of the aliases used by Angilo Freeland, who shot and killed a Polk Deputy last week. We're trying to see if the two cases are related. The connection is tantilizing because ledgers with Ramclaim's name on them were found in the car, and Sheriff Grady Judd has said Freeland left behind a ledger of associates when he fled a traffic stop Thursday.
