Random live webcams

Webcams are interesting to browse from time to time. On one hand I wish they had sound, but on the other it's kind of interesting just to watch without sound. Opentopia's cams are great because most all of the cams they link to actually work. I like the ones like this one that are just empty rooms with a loads of running computers where the monitors all have the same screensaver going at the same time. I guess it depends on when you look though.

These webcams were found automatically through a variety of clever search techniques. Their owners might or might not have intended for them to be public. But they obviously are. Many of them are security cameras in companies or semi-public places. If you hover over the picture you'll see what location information is available. If you click on it, a window will open and you can see a live video feed, plus comments and ratings and other information. 1274 webcams are available as of last scan.

There's also strange things like this - a webcam of the Smart Sign in action (it doesn't appear to get much action at night). Apparently there's a road in Denver that will measure the amount of carbon monoxide coming out of your car. Can this really be accurate? I checked out their website and there's some pages with a whole bunch of charts and stuff, so I guess it must.

And then there's the downright insane. And where there's insanity, religion is usually around somewhere. At first I wasn't sure if it was...but it is - a webcam of the building of the two hearts. If you remember way back, this was a 'sighting' of 'mary' on the glass of a building in Clearwater, Fl. If I remember, it ended up being attributed to soapy spray from a nearby car wash. I had no idea they had a shrine and webcam there. It all makes perfect sense now though. Onward christian soldiers with your useless causes!!
