Cheney back from the dead in Mississippi trying to resuscitate the administration's public image

Cheney Toured the battered region today, saying that the federal Government's progress was "very impressive."

One passer-by shouted the same vulgar phrase to Cheney that the vice president himself had used on the Senate floor in a celebrated and heated exchanged in June 2004 with Sen. Patrick Leahy, D-Vermont.

"First time I've heard it," Cheney joked with reporters when asked if he was hearing such sentiments a lot.

Most of the people Cheney met with were friendly. Lynne Lofton, whose house further down the street was completely destroyed, was an exception.

"I think this media opportunity today is a terrible waste of time and taxpayer money," she said. "They've picked a nice neighborhood where people have insurance and most are Republicans."

First of all, good move on sending Cheney out - the most charming member of the Bush administration.

And secondly, I love the two people mentioned in the article who dissed Cheney to his face. Yeah, baby!!!!
